From the team that introduced luxury diet delivery service The Pure Package now comes Balance Box. Although using the same fresh and ethically sourced ingredients that have made its big sister such a success, Balance Box carries a slightly more affordable price tag and is delivered across England, Scotland and Wales.

Conceived by entrepreneur and foodie Jennifer Irvine, Balance Box takes away the temptation – and removes the need for planning, shopping and cooking – by delivering direct to the door three portion-controlled meals and two snacks that are delicious, nutritious and inspiring.

Designed to aid healthy weight loss, all the meals are perfectly balanced to boost energy levels, keep cravings at bay and educate on portion size.

Available in three to four day boxes – allowing for a weekly subscription – Balance Box is delivered on the first day of the recipient’s diet between 12am and 7am if based in London (or between 8am and 10am outside the capital), with each meal individually packaged and labelled.

Look forward to starting the day with culinary delights, such as delicious roasted stone fruit granola, lunching on a super food salad of beetroot, broccoli, asparagus, free-range chicken, barley cous and pumpkin seeds with a lime dressing and finally dining on spiced tilapia and black bean salsa served with baby corn and mange tout.

Available in two different portion sizes; 1200 calories a day and a ‘supersized’ 1800 calories a day, recipients can choose from the perennially popular Market Menu, Vegetarian or Wheat-Free options.

Balance Box’s team of expert chefs source ethically with the provenance and freshness of the food as important as its taste. Pure Package believes that organic, free range or wild ingredients are not only free from many of the additives commonly used in food production, but have a far superior natural flavour. All meat used in dishes is grass-fed and free-range and fish is bought from sustainable stocks.

These principles are helped by the fact that Balance Box’s kitchens are only a two minute walk from the farmers’ section of New Covent Garden Market – the UK’s largest fruit and vegetable market, where growers bring their produce directly from the farm.

Lighter Menu (1200 calories)

Designed for smaller appetites, this plan provides three light meals a day and two snacks, with results achieving a happier, healthier, lighter you!

Vegetarian options are available, and all meals are seasonal, ethically sourced and use market fresh ingredients.

Market Menu (1800 calories)

Designed for slightly larger appetites, this plan provides three meals a day and two snacks, as per the Market Menu, but with slighter larger portions.

Vegetarian and wheat-free options are available, and all meals are seasonal, ethically sourced and use market fresh ingredients.

Jennifer Irvine draws much of the inspiration for The Pure Package from her childhood spent on her parent’s self-sufficient farm in the West of Ireland. There she developed a passion for food, growing, foraging and cooking fresh produce from an early age. As a young, budding entrepreneur, she used to collect eggs from the hens on the farm and sell them to local restaurants and markets.

Having studied Food Marketing Economics at university, Jennifer launched The Pure Package in 2003, having recognised that those leading a busy modern life in London often found it impossible to source and prepare the best food.

Through her companies and her best-selling recipe books – The Diet for Food Lovers and The Balance Diet – Jennifer’s delicious, nutritious and perfectly balanced meals have helped thousands of clients to get in shape. From formal seminars to live television, working mother of four Jennifer talks from the heart – and from experience – about the many issues facing women today.

She has become a much sought after spokesperson, whether on the subject of food, cookery, wellbeing or women’s lifestyle, appearing on everything from Channel 5 News through to Channel 4 Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose. She is also a regular contributor to publications such as The Huffington Post and Delicious magazine. Her entrepreneurial skills have seen Jennifer invited to speak at talks and seminars at The London Stock Exchange and the British Library. She has also picked up a host of awards, among them The Harper’s Bazaar Entrepreneur of the Year, the BT Entrepreneur of the Year and Shell Live Wire Entrepreneur of the Year.
