Tuna with soba noodles 390 cals

2 sticks of soba noodles
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tuna steaks
Sesame seeds

120 ml mirin (4 tbsp)
120 ml tamari (4 tbsp)
3 tbsp rice vinegar

Cucumber, mint and sesame salad
1 cucumber, sliced lengthways using mandolin or potato peeler
Handful of mint, chopped finely
1/2 lime, juiced
1 tsp sesame oil


1. Cook the soba noodles until tender and then drain and run under cold water (the noodles are served cold)
2. Roll the tuna steaks in sesame seeds and set aside
3. Make the dressing by combining miring, tamari and rice vinegar
4. Make up the salad by combining ingredients in a bowl
5. Heat up a pan until it is smoking hot than add a little oil, cook the tuna for just over 1 minute each side so it is still pink in the middle
6. Place the noodles on a plate with the tuna on top then pour over the dressing
